Pascale Kann premieres her 2017 #TweetaPitch winner at BFI

Pascale Kann, the youngest ever winner of the We The Peoples Film Festival #TweetaPitch competition, introduced her film Day by Day for its World Premiere in front of a packed audience at the BFI Southbank. Day by Day tells the story of Layla, a chalk artist, who is surprised by her period. Without tampons, pads or any other supplies, she attempts to make it through the day. In the credits, Pascale thanked Polina Yatsenko, one of the We The Peoples Film Festival volunteers, who had been her mentor over the year of planning and making the film. “We are delighted for Pascale,” said Karin Pointner, the festival’s Associate Director, “She marshalled and combined both animation and location filming, adding an excellent soundtrack.”
