British Universities Film & Video Council confirms support WTP Film Festival

The British Universities Film & Video Council (BUFVC) has confirmed it will continue its support for the We the Peoples Film Festival. In welcoming this news, Vivienne Eka, Festival Director said “thanks to the BUFVC, we have been able to introduce new elements to the festival in recent years such as the Best Film awards and also widen the festival to include more university campuses throughout London. We are extremely grateful to BUFVC CEO Luís Carrasqueiro and his colleagues.”” The BUFVC promotes the production, study and use of moving image, sound and related media in higher education, further education and research. It was founded in 1948 as the British Universities Film Council and became the British Universities Film & Video Council in 1983. The Council is a related body of the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and receives part funding as grant via the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC).
