BFI Youth Day 2013: (Sunday 3rd November)
In 2008 we launched our enterprising youth event - Young Film Makers for Development, with screenings of films produced by young people from across the globe. This fabulous annual event is now held at BFI Southbank. The Youth day comprises of a screening of shorts films and documentaries, selected from submissions from young people, a Feature Film, after show talks with people involved in the making of them plus workshops, music, a fabulous competition and awards.

The success of #TweetAPitch in previous years has warranted its return for 2013, but with something of a make-over. 2013’s Present-A-Pitch encourages a more multi-disciplinary approach than previous years, providing the same opportunity to present your pitch to a panel of judges, but in groups of actors, directors, script-writers and film-makers that are assembled on the day.

12  – 13pm: Cinema Room: Teams to present APitch – 3 minute pitches – 20 teams   
13 – 3pm: Short films and documentaries promoting the UNAFF main concept followed by interview and guest speaker
3 - 3.30 pm: Refreshment at the coffee bar   
3.30 – 5.30pm: Masterclasses: Filmmaking, Animation, Film writing / Direction & movie production
3 – 5pm: Murder Mystery Acting Game Show
5.30 – 6pm: Awards in the Cinema for the following categories
– Present A Pitch Awards
– Best Short film, Audience vote
– Masterclass Awards
6pm: Live Music & refreshments
